About me

​

I lived in four countries on three continents

in the first 20 years of my life: Haiti, the U.S., Bolivia and Spain. 

​

I graduated from Bethel College in North Newton, KS with a B.A. in Business Administration and Spanish Minor, while also completing the Aviation program at nearby Hesston College and completing one semester of study in Spain at the Universitat de Barcelona.

 

I worked as a flight instructor at Hesston College

before moving to Oregon and working for

Hillsboro Aviation, Inc. and Hillsboro Aero Academy.

 

I worked for Hillsboro Aero Academy for 11 years until 2022 in a variety of roles including flight instructor, training program coordinator, assistant chief and as the Airplane Chief Flight Instructor.  I managed a fleet of over 60 piston and turboprop airplanes and a staff of over 80 flight instructors.

I have been a Designated Pilot Examiner since February 2019.

In addition to my work as a DPE, I am a Company Check Airman for Hillsboro Aviation, Inc in their Part 135 charter department, and I also do some Part 91 contract flying for other companies and aircraft owners around the Portland-Metro Area.

My wife Kaitlin and I live in Hillsboro, Oregon

with our son Mason and our dog Drogo.

When I am not flying or working I enjoy

woodworking, golfing, and traveling.
