Important things to keep in mind for your checkride...
You want to pass this checkride.
Your CFI wants you to pass this checkride.
I want you to pass this checkride.
We are all on the same team working toward this same goal!

The FAA provides a useful guide for each checkride:
the Airman Certification Standards (ACS) and Practical Test Standards (PTS).
The ACS/PTS tell me as the evaluator exactly what content and what standards I have to evaluate during the checkride. More importantly the ACS/PTS will tell you as the applicant exactly what you need to do to pass your checkride. You should always make sure you are familiar with the ACS/PTS before coming to your checkride, and you should hold your CFI accountable to incorporate these documents into your training.

Remember, EVERYONE gets nervous for checkrides…it’s not just you!
Make sure to get some sleep the night before the checkride—don’t stay up all night studying!
Don't forget to bring...
